Description
The new NT-950 Validator? Network / Cabling Certifier measures and presents fast and clear SPEED and PERFORMANCE results up to 1 gigabit. Speed certification assures the cabling will do the job it is rated to do. Network components such as switches, hubs, routers and systems will then operate at maximum efficiency. The included powerful Plan-Um? software ties together all the different cable criteria that are found in complex voice/data/video installations and presents concise information in printed reports, while storing data for future use. Simply layout your customer's requirements in a matter of minutes, then define cable types and runs. Test/certify each cable run. Print the results and attach them to your invoice.
Completing and billing a cable installation job has never been easier.

Layout
The Plan-Um software that is included with the Validator LAN Certifier allows an installer or integrator to sit with a client, create a layout or floor-plan of their home or offices, drop in icons showing network, telephone, cable, audio, or security outlets, run cables between ports and patch panels and create a full job listing that can then be printed out and given to the customer for approval and estimation.
Create custom floor plans
Show specific ports: network, telephone, cable
Indicate cable runs
Print or e-mail layout for approval
Save layouts for future jobs
Automatically creates cable test schedule

Certify
The Validator LAN Certifier Kit will certify network cable runs up to Gigabit speeds as per IEEE 802.3, test for physical problems in network, cable, telephone, audio, and security/alarm wiring, find Opens and Shorts with TDR technology, and create reports to outline what the customer has asked for and the results of the installation.
Clear test results
Test telephone, coax, security/alarm cables for continuity, proper termination and polarity
Measure cable length and distances to opens and shorts using advanced TDR technology
Skew and signal/noise ratio results shown on faulty cables
Test interconnect specifications per TIA 568/570, including opens, shorts, miswires, split pairs, etc.
Wiremap individual runs to locate and identify cable routes
Test/certify network cables to 1 gigabit per IEEE 802.3 speed criteria. Typical measurements include NEXT, signal/noise ratios, attenuation, return loss and bit error rates to determine cable carrying capability

Document
The result is an End of Job Report that has complete customer information, the installer information, test results against the floor plan, and a place for an installers signature indicating the job is done.
List cable runs against a defined job
Each cable run is displayed for cross-checking
Verify all tests are done against the plan
Cable List shows run starting points and end points
Pass/fail
Print end of Job Report for billing purposes

Archive
The documentation software not only allows the installer to do the job better, but it archives the job so that future adds, changes, and moves can be addressed easier and more efficiently.
Store finished jobs for reference in doing future adds, moves or changes
Store data on either a laptop/PC or in flash card memory up to 2 GB. Thousands of jobs can be saved!
Use archived info when upgrading or changing previously installed systems
